Your Queens to teach about the historic legacy of African queens Feb. 17 at NOVA Manassas

The Manassas Campus of Northern Virginia Community College will present Your Queens on Feb. 17 from 12:30 to 2 p.m. in the campus cafeteria (Howsmon Hall, first floor). The group teaches about the historic legacy of African queens through storytelling, song and dance.

Auditions for Little Shop of Horrors Feb. 6 & 8

Auditions for actors ages 18 and older for LITTLE SHOP OF HORRORS, to be presented by the Center for the Arts’ Rooftop Productions in April, will take place on Saturday, Feb. 6 from 1:30-4:30pm and Monday, Feb. 8 from 6-9 pm at the Center for the Arts at 9419 Battle St., Old Town Manassas.

Civil War expert to welcome visitors at new exhibit at Manassas Museum Feb. 6

Dr. Charles Poland, retired history professor and Civil War expert, will greet visitors on Saturday, Feb. 6 at 2 p.m., at the opening of the new exhibit at the Manassas Museum, “What the Civil War Soldier Carried: Selections from the Collection of Dr. Charles Poland.”
