With a cast and crew of nearly 80, Gainesville Middle School for the Arts and Sciences, will be presenting the musical, Disney's "Beauty and the Beast JR," on April 7, 8 & 9 at 7 p.m. with a matinee at 2 p.m. on the 9th.

Moscow Festival Ballet on Friday, April 8, 2016, at 8 p.m., will present Tchaikovsky’s classic “The Sleeping Beauty” at the Hylton Performing Arts Center in Manassas.

Fauquier Community Theatre's final performances of the tragic comedy Rosencrantz and Guildenstern are Dead, playwright Tom Stoppard’s take on William Shakespeare’s Hamlet, featuring the two infamous minor characters. Shows are at the Vint Hill Theatre on Friday, April 1 and Saturday, April 2 at 8 p.m. and Sunday, April 3 at 2 p.m.

The Garden Club of Lake Ridge will hold its meeting and program April 4 , 2016 at 7 pm in the Tall Oaks Community Center, 12298 Cotton Mill Dr., Woodbridge, VA. The program is “What’s Buzzing in Your Garden?”. Guest speaker is Ron Keys.

The workshop will be taught by Master Gardener Mary Lou Holczer, who has been gardening for 50 years. Mary Lou is a seasoned gardener, who enjoys all aspects of gardening and growing plants – both indoors and outside.

In 2015, some 87 Meals-on-Wheels volunteers spent 5,356 hours delivering meals to help 278 Prince William County older adults stay safely at home while at the same time checking in and offering a bit of daily, social interaction. More volunteers are needed.

Spectator admission is at standard Gunston Hall prices, which include a tour of the house and grounds as well as the car show.

Virginia students in grades K-5 whose homes receive power from an electric cooperative (Northern Virginia Electric Cooperative (NOVEC) in this area) are invited to enter the 14th annual Electric Co-op Youth Art Contest. Deadline is May 1. The theme for the 2016 contest is "My Favorite Hobby."
