A Haymarket couple who has loved vacationing in the Tuscany area of Italy has designed a "meet the Tuscan mothers and grandmothers cooking tour" that USA Today has ranked one of its top 15 "foodie destinations."
Senator Charles Colgan will host BARN’s annual golf tournament on Monday, May 9, at Evergreen Country Club in Haymarket. All proceeds go to BARN’s programs to end homelessness.

New Dominion Choraliers of Prince William County will present special musical programs Saturday, April 30 at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday, May 1 at 3:30 p.m. Both performances will be at the Hylton Memorial Chapel and Event Center at 14640 Potomac Mills Road in Woodbridge, VA.
Fr. Leo Patalinghug will be presenting his famous "Grace Before Meals" event as a fundraiser in support of House of Mercy (HOM) programs, in particular the Food Pantry and Education at Piedmont Country Club on Tuesday, Sept, 20 at 10 a.m.
Gary Sarnoff will be making a presentation at the Bull Run Library, on Thursday, April 28, at 12:30 p.m., in Community Rooms A & B about a Hindenburg survivor who spent the final years of his life as a Manassas resident. The survivor was Joseph Spah, a acrobat and performer, who used his skills from the stage to survive the crash.
The Virginia Historical Society (VHS) in Richmond is looking for donations of gently used hardcover and softcover fiction and nonfiction books. VHS is especially interested in collecting books about WWI and the 1960s civil rights movement, as both topics have commemorated anniversaries recently.
