Santa will be busy in the days leading up to Christmas Eve, but he's making time in his busy schedule to visit Prince William neighborhood libraries in Dale City, Lake Ridge, Dumfries, Independent Hill and Nokesville
Twenty-four amateur chefs, the "Gourmet Guys," will show off their skills at a Dec. 4 fundraiser to benefit Leadership Prince William and the Prince William Chamber of Commerce who will host the first Gourmet Guys Give Back event from 1 to 4 p.m. at Linton Hall School in Bristow, VA. The taste-off is family-friendly and open to the public. Gourmet Guys include Rick Davis, Bennett Whitlock, Marty Nohe and Ryan Sawyers.

The Eighth Greater Manassas Veterans Day Parade will start at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 12 in Old Town Manassas. The free parade will be honoring first responders who are veterans. The route will follow Center Street, and pass the reviewing stand at the Harris Pavilion.

Manassas Battlefield Trust, official non-profit philanthropic partner of the Manassas National Battlefield Park, will host its Inaugural Leadership Reception on Oct 24, 2016, from 6 to 9 pm. The evening program at the Henry Hill Visitors Center in the Park will offer an exclusive showing of rare Civil War artifacts from the Battles of 1st and 2nd Manassas (1861-1862) not on display to the general public, according to a news release.
