There are lots of reasons for visitors to enjoy Prince William & Manassas in September. Events include concerts, festivals and family friendly events for the community.
The 6th annual Arts Alive! mini festival will be held at the Hylton Center on Sunday, Sept. 17, from 1 to 5 p.m. This annual community event celebrates the diversity and talent of visual, literary, and performing artists and ensembles. There will be 25+ indoor and outdoor performances scheduled on four indoor and outdoor stages.

On Tuesday, Sept. 5, at 7:30 PM, Retired Navy CDR Paul Galanti will speak about his experiences as a Prisoner of War (POW) during the Vietnam War. Galanti flew 97 combat missions in his A-4C Skyhawk before being shot down and captured on June 17, 1966. He remained a prisoner of war of the North Vietnamese for nearly seven years.

The Town of Occoquan is now presenting Music on Mill, a free outdoor summer concert/enteertainment series at Occoquan’s River Mill Park on Friday and Saturday evenings from 6 to 8 p.m., through Sept. 16. The final event, Acoustic Rock concert, is Saturday, Sept. 16.

Virginia Film Festival officials report that internationally acclaimed filmmaker, Spike Lee, will be a guest at the upcoming 2017 VFF, where he will present a pair of films as part of a larger program around the living legacy of slavery, presented in collaboration with James Madison’s Montpelier.

Youth for Tomorrow is looking for male mentors to share your time with young guys for two hours a week. Many of these kids don’t have a dad active in their lives and you can make a huge difference in the lives of a kid. Meals on Wheels drivers are still needed.
