The Freedom Museum will hold a Hangar Dance Fundraiser on Saturday, Oct. 21, from 6:30 to 11 p.m. The $80 per person admission will include a dinner catered by JR’s Custom Catering and 40s and 50s dance music by The Swing Machine. Proceeds will help pay the museum’s operating expenses and add to its building fund.
Tim Ohlwiler, Horticulture Extension Agent, will teach the proper techniques for pruning shrubs and trees including timing, the different cuts and the tools that are necessary.

The Virginia World War I and World War II Profiles of Honor Mobile Tour will make a stop in Manassas during First Friday and Fall Jubilee Oct. 6-7. Governor Terry McAuliffe has announced that Chrysalis Vineyards will expand in Loudoun County, creating 12 new jobs and investing $478,000. The vineyard will add a creamery and bakery to its operation.
