At 1:07 a.m. on Thursday, Aug. 25, fire and rescue units were dispatched to the 13000 blk of Langstone Drive (Dale City) for a reported house fire. Crews arrived with heavy fire and smoke emitting from the rear of the home.

Keep Prince William Beautiful (KPWB), a non-profit environmental organization that serves Prince William County, has unveiled its first KPWB Bus Shelter Beautification project in Dale City. The project will use public space art combined with a litter removal program.

DroneUp, LLC, a leading drone flight services innovator and aviation technology provider, will invest $27.2 million to expand its headquarters in the City of Virginia Beach and establish a testing, training, and R&D center at Richard Bland College in Dinwiddie County.

Congressman Gerry Connolly, who represents Virginia's 10th District that includes much of eastern Prince William County and who is Chairman of the House Government Operations subcommittee, is planning to run for the top Democratic spot on the House Committee on Oversight and Reform (O and R) that deals with such issues as the Equal Rights Amendment and Postal Service Reform.
