Prince William County Parks and Recreation is hosting its annual Holiday Walk of Lights at Neabsco Regional Park for the third year. The FREE lights display begins Friday, Dec. 6. New this year: Visitors can experience the magic of the holiday season with visits from holiday characters, joyful holiday music sung by carolers and an unforgettable holiday shopping experience on select nights.
Farmers markets are open now, and others are opening soon, to provide locals with homegrown tomatoes, berries, corn and other produce. Some markets even have local vendors who sell their crafts and wares. Read all the details about local farmers' markets in the

A fundraiser at Battlefield High School was held May 7 to raise funds for a new Gainesville library. Thousands of Legos were available for those who wanted to build something cool. Many youngsters came out to enjoy the day. They could bounce in the moonbounce, check out the many vendors, buy some used books or bid on more than 70 silent-auction items.
