Prince William County Parks and Recreation is hosting its annual Holiday Walk of Lights at Neabsco Regional Park for the third year. The FREE lights display begins Friday, Dec. 6. New this year: Visitors can experience the magic of the holiday season with visits from holiday characters, joyful holiday music sung by carolers and an unforgettable holiday shopping experience on select nights.

Prince William County VA police reported Sunday, July 29 that two fatal crashes are being investigated, a pedestrian fatality on Lee Hwy. at Old Carolina Road and a motorcycle fatality at Bristow Rd. and Independent Hill Drive.

The management plan for Bristoe Station Heritage Park, the popular historical site located a short distance from VA 28, is likely to be taken up by the Prince William Board of County Supervisors in August.
Prince William County VA Police are continuing their investigation into the death of a four-year-old boy of Woodbridge boy, 4, on July 15, after a family member called to report a gunshot wound to the head at 3:25 p.m. At this time, it appears the shooting was accidental and that the injury was self-inflicted, according to Officer Jonathan Perok, police spokesman. The name of the deceased was released July 26.
The Virginia Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services (VDACS) has expanded the Emerald Ash Borer (EAB) Quarantine to include all counties and independent cities in Virginia.
The Virginia Department of Emergency Management has announced that there will be a regional earthquake drill Oct. 18 at 10:18 a.m. in the southeast United States, and Virginia has signed on as a participant. Individuals, businesses, schools and organizations are invited to participate. Other states and other areas around the world are also participating in earthquake drills, some at different times.
