Today is the first day of 2013. In a recent informal survey by Observer Newspapers of favorite numbers, #13 was mentioned favorably in Prince William County, VA.
Prince William County VA Schools' annual divisionwide survey will be sent to parents on Jan. 14 with a request to express opinions, both pro and con, and return the form by Feb. 1.
A Prince William County Police officer, Chris Yung, died in the line of duty on Dec. 31. The motorcycle officer was involved in a crash at the intersection of Nokesville Rd and Piper Ln in Bristow while responding to a separate crash, according to police reports.
