Prince William County Public Schools has named the winning students who competed in the Martin Luther King Jr. Youth Oratorical Contest.
Kindergarten registration will be held at every Prince William County elementary school on two Thursdays in April--April 11 and April 25. Parents should contact the school their child will attend for specific registration times.
Taxpayers using IRS form 8863 to claim Education Credits (American Opportunity Credit and Lifetime Learning Credit) will be able to file their returns in mid-February, according to IRS spokesman Mark Hanson.

The Internal Revenue Service and partners nationwide launched the Earned Income Tax Credit Awareness Day outreach campaign today, Jan. 25. The campaign is aimed at helping millions of Americans who earned $50,270 or less take advantage of the Earned Income Tax Credit (EITC), according to IRS spokesman for this area Mark Hanson.
