Gov. Glenn Youngkin has announced that Apex Mills, a specialty supplier and manufacturer of warp knit fabrics with industrial and technical applications, will invest $3.1 million to expand its East Coast presence by acquiring the former HanesBrands facility and its equipment in Patrick County.
“These draft standards are stronger because they reflect the contributions of subject-matter experts, thoughtful citizens, and a broad set of organizations across two administrations,” Secretary of Education Aimee Guidera said. “They better meet Governor Glenn Youngkin’s directive to teach all history—the good and the bad—and will prepare all of Virginia’s students to become informed and engaged citizens and members of our democracy, communities and economy.”
Deshundra Jefferson has announced that she is running for Chair of the Prince William Board of County Supervisors in 2023. Jefferson, who lives in Montclair, will face fellow Democrat Ann Wheeler, who’s held the position since 2020.
