A family of five was displaced this morning when fire broke out on the rear deck of a Lake Ridge townhouse on Tatiana Way and extended up into the attic and minimal damage to one adjoining home.
Governor Bob McDonnell has announced a partnership between the Virginia Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) and the Virginia Department of Health (VDH) allowing DMV to issue birth certificates at customer service centers beginning March 1, 2014. DMV can already look up the information. Death, marriage, divorce records will become available Jan. 1, 2015.
Northbound VA 28 in the city of Manassas was closed temporarily on Saturday, July 13, 2013 after a Manassas city police officer was struck by by a vehicle about 9 a.m. while conducting a routine traffic stop on VA 28 near Phoenix Dr.

The restriction on starting vehicles has been lifted in connection with the July 11 fuel spill at Braemar Village in Prince William County VA. according to a 4 a.m. news release. Residents on Merrimont Trace Cir and Manor Hall Ct, directly across Sudley Manor Dr from the shopping center, will not be able to leave their homes by vehicle due to the location of the crash. Rush hour issues likely.
On July 11th at 10:31PM, police responded to 12691 Braemar Village Plz in Bristow (20136) for a crash involving an overturned fuel truck. The driver of the truck was not injured, no other vehicles were involved. There is HAZMAT clean-up underway. Fire crews are on scene and are continuing to evaluate the incident.

Aden Road will be closed to traffic between Parkgate Drive and Orlando Road from 3 a.m. Saturday, July 13 until 5 a.m. Monday, July 15, to begin demolition of the bridge over Cedar Run, according to the Virginia Department of Transportation.
Prince William County's Department of Public Works, Neighborhood Services Division, will host an informational session for the County’s faith-based community on roadside advertising signs and temporary activity permits on Monday, July 22, from 10 a.m. to noon.
