Prince William County Parks and Recreation is hosting its annual Holiday Walk of Lights at Neabsco Regional Park for the third year. The FREE lights display begins Friday, Dec. 6. New this year: Visitors can experience the magic of the holiday season with visits from holiday characters, joyful holiday music sung by carolers and an unforgettable holiday shopping experience on select nights.

“This Board has been committed to diversifying the county’s tax base, and we are seeing the results of that with this budget, allowing for us to invest in our community and our workforce while providing residents a flat tax bill for the first time in 14 years,” Chair At-Large Ann Wheeler was quoted as saying in the county's news release. The Board adopted a 6 percent market adjustment for all general government, or civilian, positions, and a 15 percent adjustment for sworn/uniformed personnel in Fire and Rescue, the Adult Detention Center and the Sheriff’s Office, as well as a 15 percent increase for Public Safety Communications telecommunicators, the news release said.
