PWC Annual Holiday Walk of Lights at Neabsco Regional Park opens Dec. 6

Prince William County Parks and Recreation is hosting its annual Holiday Walk of Lights at Neabsco Regional Park for the third year. The FREE lights display begins Friday, Dec. 6. New this year: Visitors can experience the magic of the holiday season with visits from holiday characters, joyful holiday music sung by carolers and an unforgettable holiday shopping experience on select nights.

K-9 helps PW Police nab suspect

Prince William County Police officers determined the suspect was a juvenile who was reported missing earlier that morning. As officers were checking the area, they observed the suspect and attempted to detain him. The accused initially fled on foot before being detained with assistance from a police K-9.

Getting around made easier: Local bus service in Manassas area starting Aug. 26

Moped rider killed in 1:45 a.m. crash in Woodbridge Aug. 20

The investigation revealed the operator of a 2018 Yamaha FX 5 Moped was traveling southbound on Neabsco Mills Rd. approaching the stop bar with Smoke Ct. when it was rear-ended by a 2013 Chevrolet Malibu. The collision caused the operator of the moped to be thrown from the moped onto the windshield of the Malibu before rolling to the ground.

Aug. 25 forum for PWC Commonwealth’s Attorney candidates in Manassas

The two Commonwealth's Attorney candidates to be listed on Prince William, Manassas and Manassas Park ballots in November, will be the guests at a Committee of 100 public forum for voters on Friday, Aug. 25, from 7 to 8:30 p..m. at Metz Middle School, 9950 Wellington Rd., Manassas.

Police investigate death of 17-year-old in Dale City area with gunshot wound to upper body

The initial investigation revealed the victim arranged to meet other parties in the above area. At one point during the encounter, shots were fired, fatally striking the victim. Due to Virginia law, the identity of the deceased juvenile is not being disclosed. At this time, this incident does not appear to be random.

Pedestrian struck by passenger train in Woodbridge area Aug. 12

On August 12, 2023 at 7:35PM, Prince William County Police investigators with the Crash Investigation Unit responded to the Featherstone Road railroad crossing in the area of Featherstone Road and Marseille Lane in Woodbridge (22191) to investigate a pedestrian who was struck by a passenger train.
