On Thursday, Jan. 9, 2025 at 6:19PM, Prince William County Police officers responded to the 8300 block of Sunset Dr. in Manassas (20110) to investigate a shooting.
Sergeant S. A. Morbeto and Sergeant T. J. Rodriquez have been selected as Manassas VA Police Department Employees of the Year for 2011 for their work in connection with a Feb. 10, 2011 shooting incident with multiple victims.
Manassas VA city officials have evacuated 14 people said to be living in 700 square feet of space in a mobile home during the March 5 execution of a warrant obtained by Fire Marshals based on information which alleged that the mobile home contained fire-safety code violations that created an imminent threat to the safety of the occupants and nearby structures.
Prince William County VA police have charged two daycare providers each with 5 counts of child endangerment stemming from a child's death reported in Bristow on March 8. According to the police report, 23 children, ranging in age from newborn to 4 years old, were at the residence when law enforcement officials arrived to investigate a 12:42 p.m. report of an unresponsive child.
Prince William County VA police are investigating the death of an infant girl in Bristow, according to police reports. The baby was three months old, police said.

Exterior of Sentara Lake Ridge during final stage of construction
Sentara Lake Ridge, a 24-hour emergency room facility affiliated with Potomac Hospital in Woodbridge, was due to open today on Minnieville Road in eastern Prince William County VA. In addition to emergency services, the facility will provide CT imaging services, digital mammography, bone density scanning, ultra-sound and x-ray, for emergencies and during the day by appointment.
