July 9, 2015 will be remembered as a date of great accomplishment in Western Prince William County. On this day representatives of government departments and construction businesses gathered at 7500 Iron Bar Lane in the Virginia Gateway Shopping Center for a ribbon cutting to celebrate the completion of the Gainesville Interchange.
“The 21st Century Cures Act finally presents a national vision and a major opportunity to advance better detection, management, and ultimately cures of chronic diseases and improvement of quality of life for all Americans. I am proud to be a cosponsor of this groundbreaking legislation," said Congresswoman Barbara Comstock July 10.
Seven members of the Prince William County School Board will be among nearly 1,000 Virginia school board members, educators, governing officials, attorneys, and legislators attending the Virginia School Boards Association (VSBA) 30th annual Conference on Education in Richmond, VA on July 21.
Brothers and sisters, ages 8–11, are invited to attend a "sibshops" workshop and share the challenges and joys of having a sibling who has special needs, July 17 at Tyler Elementary In Gainesville or Aug. 18 at Fitzgerald Elementary in Woodbridge.

Dominion Power will host an open house on Wednesday, July 15, from 5 to 8 p.m. at Battlefield High School in Haymarket to further discuss the Haymarket Transmission Project with residents in the community.
VA Rte. 28 (Nokesville Road) between Bristow Village Boulevard and Battalion Square will again be closed in both directions Friday and Sunday nights so that crews can continue storm sewer line work, according to the Virginia Department of Transportation.
