PWC Police make arrest in connection with Jan. 9. 2025 shooting.
Residents can learn and speak out, Monday, Sept. 14 and Wednesday, Sept. 23 about potential locations and designs for the planned 13th high school in western Prince William County.
Governor Terry McAuliffe Sept. 8 announced the winners of the first-ever Virginia Velocity Business Plan Competition. The competition provided $850,000 to five companies in the bioscience and energy sectors that were looking to expand their business in Virginia.

Governor Terry McAuliffe announced Sept. 8 that Ventech Solutions, a SEI CMMI Level 3 software company that specializes in managing full life cycle deployment of software systems and solutions, will invest $1.5 million to establish an Innovation, Operations and Engineering (IOE) center in Prince William County.

Potomac and Rappahannock Transportation Commission (PRTC), the local bus company, will again participate in Try Transit Week and Car Free Day – two events that encourage people to find alternatives to driving solo. The seventh annual Try Transit Week will be Sept. 21-25. The educational event is designed to reduce the use of single-occupancy vehicles in favor of buses, trains, vanpools and ferries.
On Saturday, Sept. 12, local Boy Scouts, Prince William County Solid Waste Division and Keep Prince William Beautiful will celebrate the grand opening of a second American Flag Collection Center in Prince William County. The Balls Ford Road Yard Waste Compost Facility, 13000 Balls Ford Road, Manassas, flag collection service will be joining the service at the county landfill for citizens and businesses to retire American flags with respect.
Nokesville Business Association meeting will be on September 23rd instead of the 16th due to a scheduling problem. The meeting will be at 8:30 at the Chuckwagon Restaurant.
