“Spirits, Shadows and Sounds” will be on display in the Colgan Hall gallery through Nov. 4. The gallery is open 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Fridays, and 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturdays.
Prince William Board of County Supervisors will hold a special meeting at 10 a.m. on Monday, Oct. 26 to discuss the Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) selecting the Cedars Farm, located at 6115 Antioch Road in Haymarket, as part of the preferred alternative for the I-66 Outside the Beltway project.
Prince William County Schools is offering a Nov. 2 workshop for parents on support for students with dyxlesia. The workshop will be from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Kelly Leadership Center, 14715 Bristow Road, Manassas. The strategy workshop, presented by the Department of Student Learning and Accountability, will be in Conference Room 1101.
Prince William County Solid Waste Division will hold a free document shred event for Prince William area residents on Saturday, Oct. 31 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at two locations: Prince William County Landfill, 14811 Dumfries Road, Manassas and Balls Ford Road Yard Waste Compost Facility, 13000 Balls Ford Road, Manassas, VA
On October 24th at 4:46PM, Prince William County police officers responded to the 4400 block of Hamilton Dr in Woodbridge (22193) near Dawson Park to investigate the deaths of two juveniles, according to a report from the police department.
On Saturday, Oct. 24 from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., weather permitting, the Virginia Department of Transportation and Norfolk Southern will be closing Balls Ford Road at the railroad crossing west of Prince William Parkway (VA 234) in order to replace the at-grade crossing.
