PWC Police make arrest in connection with Jan. 9. 2025 shooting.
Prince William County VA Police Department's crime reports for Tuesday, Sept. 4 include felony child abuse in the case of an eight-month-old baby left strapped in a child's seat in the back seat of a abandoned car that was running, the alleged strangulation of a 16-year-old by a family member and the alleged stabbing of a family member by an 18-year-old.
Students and staff have been evacuated from Elizabeth Vaughan Elementary School on York Drive in Woodbridge VA as a precaution, according to the Prince William County Schools community relations office at 12:42 p.m.

The National Council of State Tourism Directors bestowed its Mercury Award on Virginia for Best Travel Web Site among states at the organization's recent annual convention. Virginia reports the site was accessed by more than 6.3 million unique visitors in the 12 months following the 2011 relaunch.

Prince William Coun ty VA Police Department's crime report for Monday, Sept. 3, 2012 includes juveniles entering Rockledge school unlawfully but apparently chased away by school staff, an armed robbery and a rash of burglaries in various Woodbridge neighborhoods.
Prince William County VA detectives are currently on scene in a Woodbridge neighborhood investigating a shooting involving two victims, both adult males. A suspect has been detained, according to police spokesman Officer Jonathan Perok.
Thirty children ages 5-14 will visit Leesylvania State Park, in Woodbridge and go fishing with volunteer professional anglers from large bass boats on the Potomac River Sept. 15. he program is designed to give children with special needs and their caretakers the opportunity to leave their problems on shore and enjoy a day of fishing with professional bass fishermen. Included in the day’s events will be water safety, boating, and natural resource demonstrations.
