Gov. Glenn Youngkin has announced that Currie Medical Inc., a leading provider and innovator in the design, manufacturing, and distribution of medical equipment and devices used for patient care in hospitals across the United States and medical device reprocessing, will invest $1.2 million to expand its operations in the City of Norfolk.
According to a news release from the Governor's Office, Virginia's response will focus on preserving life, preventing destruction of public and private property, and protecting the environment.

Virginia Women and Family Support Center (VAWFSC) has opened its second house/supportive sanctuary on the grounds of Manassas Church of the Brethren at 10047 Nokesville Road. It thanks all who have previously supported the group and is asking for $20 monthly donations from "Cycle Breakers" to extend services to more families.

Governor Youngkin announced today, Sept. 29, that the Commonwealth’s request for a federal emergency declaration for Public Assistance, Emergency Protective Measures and Direct Federal Assistance is approved, supporting the counties of Grayson, Smyth, Tazewell, Washington, Wise, and Wythe and the City of Galax.
