Prince William County is opening all county libraries and the Ferlazzo Center to members of the public who need to seek shelter from the heat with forecasted high temperature of 97 degrees, with heat index values possibly as high as 102 degrees today, Wednesday, June 30.

An employee of the business reported to police that an unknown man entered the store and approached the counter. During the encounter, the suspect retrieved a firearm from his waistband and brandished it towards the victim before demanding money from the register.

On June 23 at 4:44PM, Prince William County Police officers responded to investigate threatening messages that were reported to have occurred at the Bayvue Apartments located in the 1300 block of Bayside Ave. in Woodbridge (22191) on May 28. In partnership with the U.S. Marshals Service, a $2,000 reward has been offered for any information leading to apprehension of the individual sought in connection to this incident.

On June 21, 2021 investigators with the Prince William County Police Department's Crash Investigation Unit obtained charges against the driver of the 2002 Honda Civic involved in the fatal collision that occurred in the area of the Prince William Pkwy and University Blvd in Manassas (20110) on April 4, 2021. One was killed and four were hurt.
Virginia Department of Transportation reports that work has started to create an auxiliary lane on southbound I-95 from Rt. 123 (Gordon Boulevard) to the Prince William Parkway (Rt. 294). The project will convert about a mile and a half of the existing shoulder to a travel lane,
