PWC Police make arrest in connection with Jan. 9. 2025 shooting.

This annual event – which is free and open to the public and is sponsored by the Prince William County Citizen Police Academy Alumni Association – will honor the lives and service of 18 men and women who lived, or served, in Prince William County and died in the line of duty.

“I want to emphasize that the new growth assessments are not SOL tests and they will be noticeably shorter than other state assessments given at the end of students' courses,” according to the State Superintendent of Public Instruction. The focus of growth assessments is on identifying what students have already learned, as well as the skills they may need additional help with during this school year. The purpose of the assessments is to establish a baseline for measuring student growth. The tests will not have a minimum passing score, and VDOE says it will not report aggregate growth results for schools and divisions.

PWC Detectives obtained juvenile petitions against the suspect who was subsequently located and arrested on Sept. 3, 2021 by members of the U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force in North Carolina where he will remain in-custody until extradited to Virginia.

Prince William Health District's Mobile Clinic Unit locations on Tuesday, Sept. 7 will be in Dale City at La Azteca Grocery and in Woodbridge at Wegmans Food Market.

When officers arrived and reviewed surveillance footage, a man, later identified as the accused, was observed using a large rock to damage the front door to make entry inside. Officers recognized the man from previous interactions and subsequently located him in the area of a nearby business where he was detained without further incident.

On Thursday, Sept. 2, 2021, at 3:43PM, officers from the Prince William County Police Department responded to the Exxon service station located at 8289 Sudley Rd in Manassas (20109) to investigate a robbery.

On Thursday, Sept. 2, 2021 at 10:43PM, Prince William County Police officers responded to the Riverside Station Apartments located in the 14000 block of Big Crest Ln in Woodbridge (22191) to investigate initial reports of a fight. While officers were responding, additional information that was received indicated that shots has been fired.
