Free national park passes for military families

The National Park Service has announced it will begin issuing annual passes to active duty military personnel and their dependents at 9 a.m. on Saturday, May 19 to show appreciation for those who serve in the U.S. military. In Prince William County VA military personnel may obtain the passes at Prince William Forest Park near Quantico and Manassas National Battlefield Park.

The river is the source of drinking water for much of Prince William County as well as a recreational area.
