PWC Police make arrest in connection with Jan. 9. 2025 shooting.

County police arrest two men.

The Alexandria Social Security office located at 5510 Cherokee Avenue, Suite 200, Alexandria, VA, office closing dates have been adjusted to Thursday, July 21 through Friday July 29. The office will be closed for renovations.

Del. C. Todd Gilbert, Speaker of the Virginia House of Delegates, has appointed four members to serve on the Virginia Board of Veterans Services (BVS).

“As encouraging as it is to see fewer traffic deaths this July 4 holiday weekend compared to last year, Virginians still cannot let their guard down when it comes to traffic safety,” said Colonel Gary T. Settle, Virginia State Police Superintendent.

The Virginia Spotted Lanternfly Quarantine was established in 2019 to slow the spread of this invasive insect pest to un-infested areas of the Commonwealth. The quarantine also helps businesses avoid additional restrictions that could be placed on the movement of products from spotted lanternfly infested areas to states and regions where the insect has not been detected.
