In one incident, police report victim held onto the shoes and was dragged for a short distance before he fell to the ground as the suspect continued to drive out of the area. In another incident, police report the accused sprayed the victim in his face and upper body with an unknown substance before she drove away in her vehicle.
Linda Cheeks of Prince William County was recently named as a Foster Parent of the Year from the Metropolitan Washington Council of Governments (COG).
COG recognized foster parents from 10 local jurisdictions for their dedication to foster youth across the DC region.

New security equipment, an on-staff security officer and two dedicated trauma rooms are among recent major additions in a $1 million upgrade to the Emergency Department at Sentara Northern Virginia Medical Center (SNVMC) in Woodbridge. The Emergency Department was previously upgraded in 2016-17, according to Jon Radulovic, public information officer.

A Lake Ridge resident has been charged with failure to follow a traffic signal in connection with a vehicle crash on Sunday, June 16, 2024, at 11:02AM, at the intersection of Old Bridge Rd. and Harbor Dr. in Lake Ridge. A passenger in one of the vehicles has died, police said.
