The Annual Community Green Day on Saturday, May 14, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. rain or shine. There will be a community cleanup, free shredding, metal recycling, gently used clothing collection and a big vendor expo with representatives ranging from Va. Cooperative Extension Master Gardeners, to Mosquito Joe to Doody Calls and many more.

PWCS’s accomplishments and implementation of USDA guidelines and regulations for feeding school children will be recognized by Undersecretary for Food, Nutrition, and Consumer Services Kevin Concannon on a visit to Enterprise Elementary School on Tuesday, March 15.

Lake Ridge Lions are accepting applications for a $1,000 scholarship from qualified students. Applications must be received by the Scholarship Committee by April 15th. The Lions Memorial Scholarship, given for 40+ years, is awarded to a student living in Lake Ridge (22192) who exemplifies the spirit of service to others, a spirit that was the hallmark in the lives of fellow Lions, James Dunivin, Horace Franklin, Donald Keyes, Bill Briggs, and Gina Reyes.
