Want to be a page for the Virginia General Assembly?

Each year the Virginia Senate and the House of Delegates offer a page program open to 13- and 14-year-olds during the Virginia General Assembly. Pages assist legislators and staff with daily duties during the session in January and February. The deadline for these programs is Oct. 17. PWC Del. Richard Anderson also offers a Future Delegate program. Students spend one full day in Richmond with him, observing the legislative process. He will release details soon on how students may apply.

PWCS updates procedures for student complaints of discrimination or harassment

Prince William County Schools reports it has revised and updated its procedures for reporting, investigating and resolving student complaints of discrimination and harassment, including complaints based on disability.

DFR greets students on first day of school at Kyle Wilson Elementary

Yesterday, Aug. 29 was the first day of school for Prince William County. Fire and Rescue Chief Kevin McGee along with firefighters from Station 17, Montclair, were on site to greet students and wish them a successful school year as they entered the Kyle R. Wilson Elementary School in Woodbridge.
