Angelina Seamster, Colgan High School senior, will be the featured cello soloist performing Haydn’s Cello Concerto No. 1 in C Major. Miss Seamster participates in the Fine and Performing Arts program at Colgan High School, and has been performing with the MSO since she was in the 8th grade.

Bridgewater College's Symphonic Band, under the direction of Dr. Christine Carrillo, will perform on Sunday, Nov. 7, in Cole Hall on the College's campus near Harrisonburg, VA.

First Lady Suzanne S. Youngkin was quoted as saying, "JAM's mission to provide tools and support for teaching old-time and bluegrass music to youth, bridges past to present and embodies the outstanding spirit of Virginia."

The 4th Colgan Classic, featuring high school bands from across Northern Virginia will perform at Colgan High School on Saturday, Sept. 24 beginning at 11:15 a.m. The Colgan Band will perform at 12:45 p.m.

Hylton Performing Arts Center welcomes the community to attend a free Family Open House, Sunday, Feb. 9 between 2 and 4 p.m. The event will celebrate the opening of the center's new Education and Rehearsal Wing and give visitors a chance to try some art and music activities.

Students at Westridge Elementary School in Woodbridge hosted an assembly to celebrate African-American history, where they shared stories and music from many aspects of African-American culture.

Sub-Radio concert will be held at Town of Occoquan's River Mill Park on Saturday, July 21.

Desiree Wolfe, of the Prince William County Office of Executive Management, nominated Donna Flory as PWC Volunteer of the Quarter. The presentation reads in part, “Over the last two decades, Donna has played in various ceremonies and dedications in honor of Armed Forces Day, Memorial Day and 9/11.  Her rendition of ‘Taps’ continues to bring dignity and meaning to these very important events."
