Tree planting and tree giveaway Oct. 16 at Bristoe Station

Join KPWB, the Arbor Day Foundation, and AWS InCommunities for a tree planting and tree giveaway 9 a.m. to noon on Wednesday, Oct. 16. Volunteers will be planting trees throughout the Bristoe Station Battlefield Heritage Park, while 50 trees will be given to community members on a first come, first serve basis.

Pedestrian struck by passenger train in Woodbridge area Aug. 12

On August 12, 2023 at 7:35PM, Prince William County Police investigators with the Crash Investigation Unit responded to the Featherstone Road railroad crossing in the area of Featherstone Road and Marseille Lane in Woodbridge (22191) to investigate a pedestrian who was struck by a passenger train.

VDOT wants resident comments on STARS improvement study for Dale Blvd. and Rippon Blvd.

VDOT will be assessing existing traffic, safety and multimodal conditions in the corridor, including driver weaving issues at the Dale Boulevard/I-95 interchange and accommodations for people walking and biking. This is known as a STARS study. Within the study limits, Dale Boulevard averages about 42,000 vehicles a day and Rippon Boulevard averages about 12,000. No statistics were given for numbers of walkers and bikers.
