Harris Teeter grocery products will likely travel a shorter distance and get to Prince William County area supermarkets sooner with the opening of a new distribution center in Caroline County, south of Fredericksburg. Harris Teeter plans to invest $95 million to establish a 1.5 million-square-foot food distribution operation, with the first phase at least 650,000 square feet or about 15 acres.

Prince William County Supervisors cancel Dec. 8 vote on Stone Haven development

The developer of the Stone Haven property has publicly posted a letter stating it is officially withdrawing its application, according to Brentsville Supervisor Jeanine Lawson. That means there will be NO vote tomorrow night and no vote in the future on this Stone Haven project, Lawson said. The supervisor had encouraged the community to be involved in the land development issue.

Prince William County Planning Commission agenda for Nov. 4, 2015

Prince William County Planning Commission will hold a work session beginning at 6 p.m. at 1 County Complex Court, Woodbridge, VA 22192, in the Potomac Conference Room of the McCoart Building to discuss Economic Development Plan Update - Cultural Resources, followed by the regular meeting in the Board of County Supervisors meeting room.
