The Prince William County Police reminds motorists to ear your seatbelt every time because seatbelts save lives! That is the underlying message of this year’s “Click It or Ticket” seatbelt enforcement campaign, which runs through Dec. 1, 2024.

PWC Police report for March 10, 2022: Two arrested on sexual assault charges

On Wednesday, March 9, 2022 detectives with the Prince William County Police Department's Special Victims Bureau, in coordination with Child Protective Services (CPS), began an investigation into a sexual assault that was reported to have occurred at a residence located in the Woodbridge (22191) area of Prince William County on March 8.

Social Security has made concerted efforts to address this issue, and extensive outreach and investigative efforts are having a positive impact, decreasing scam reports to OIG by more than 20 percent since 2020, according to Davis Melton, Public Information Officer.

US House OKs $$ for PWC health dept. and climate change projects at Rep. Connolly’s request

Congressman Gerry Connolly (D-VA), who represents part of Prince William County and is Chairman of the House Subcommittee on Government Operations, announced two Prince William County projects were included in his Community Project Funding (CPF) requests in the FY 2022 omnibus appropriations package. The funding package passed the House March 9 and now heads to the Senate.

On March 3, 2022 detectives with the Property Crimes Unit concluded the investigation into two commercial burglaries previously reported to have occurred at the Bristow Vape & Smoke Nokesville Rd. in Manassas (20109) on Sept. 29, 2021 and again on Oct. 2, 2021 and arrested a juvenile male, age 14.

Culvert pipe to be replaced March 11-12 on Mountain Road in Haymarket

Mountain Road between Quaker Road and Ridge Road will be closed to through traffic for 24 hours, weather permitting, from Friday, March 11 at 7 p.m. to Saturday, March 12 at 7 p.m. so a culvert pipe can be replaced, according to the Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT).

At the time of the incident, the school bus was occupied by four people: the bus driver and two family members identified as an infant and a 14-year-old male juvenile, and a bus attendant.
