Do you know the difference between a tornado watch and a tornado warning? On March 11 at 9:45 a.m. the City of Manassas will participate in the Statewide Tornado Drill –a joint effort of National Weather Service and Virginia Department of Emergency Management.

Virginia’s 4 p.m. Burning Law goes into effect Feb. 15th – the start of spring fire season. The law prohibits burning before 4 p.m. each day until April 30th if the fire is in, or within 300 feet of, woodland, brushland or fields containing dry grass or other flammable materials.
