PW Police charge Stafford teen in Woodbridge murder case

On Friday, July 21, 2023 the juvenile suspect sought in connection to the murder of an 18-year-old man that occurred in the 14100 block of Big Crest Ln. in Woodbridge (22191) on Tuesday, July 18, was arrested.

The investigation revealed the victim, identified as an 18-year-old man, and a juvenile acquaintance were in the above area when the victim was shot in the upper body. After the shooting, the acquaintance contacted police to report his friend had been shot before disconnecting and leaving the area. Officers initially responded and checked the area but were unable to locate the involved parties or a crime scene.

Manassas man charged with involuntary manslaughter during gun inspection

The investigation revealed the victim, a 21-year-old man, and two acquaintances were inside the home, passing around a handgun. While handling the weapon, one of the acquaintances to the victim, identified as the accused, neglectfully discharged the handgun, firing a round and striking the victim in the chest.
