Governor Terry McAuliffe announced that starting today, Monday, October 27, the Virginia Department of Health will actively monitor the health of all travelers arriving from the countries of Guinea, Liberia, and Sierra Leone, which are battling an unprecedented Ebola outbreak. This effort will build on extensive outreach and monitoring already underway by the state health department and the local health districts.

Clay Wood Elementary School located at 10600 Kettle Run Rd in Bristow (20136) to investigate after school staff reported a vehicle matching the description of the vehicle involved in the murder was unoccupied and parked in the school lot. TCW students were taken to Brentsville High School as a precaution due to the police activity in the area.

In light of a reported 13 African nations which have banned travel from Ebola prevalent areas to their countries, and reports of airlines which have suspended commercial flights to such areas, Delegate Robert G. "Bob" Marshall (R-13), Senator Richard Black (R-13) and Delegate Mark Berg, MD (R-29) sent a letter urging Governor Terry McAuliffe to seek similar bans for Virginia's airports and seaports.
