Mountain View students devise a school-wide project to handle trash

The 2015 FIRST® LEGO® LEAGUE Trash Trek Challenge asks students to identify a problem with the way people make or handle trash, and then design a solution to the problem. Fifth graders created a system to put in place at Mountain View School that separates plastic from waste material that can be composted.

David and Joan Gifford, along with two teams of volunteers, formed Crossroads-Connection to assist with poverty in their own backyards.

PW Police looking for missing endangered 16-year-old male

Prince William County Police Department is asking for the public’s help in locating a missing, endangered juvenile, Daniel Wesley York. The investigation revealed that Daniel left his home located in the 12600 block of Monarch Ct in Woodbridge (22192) on November 29th between the hours of 9:30PM and 10:13PM and may be in need of assistance.
