A blazing fire displaced approximately 40 residents from their apartments in Point at Bull Run on Saturday, June 11 shortly before 11 p.m. in the 10500 block of Lariat Lane near Williamson Blvd. in Manassas. The Red Cross was called to the scene to assist those displaced by the fire. According to the Fire Marshal’s Office, 18 units, within a 24-unit apartment complex, sustained heavy fire damage and are a total loss; each unit is valued at approximately $300,000 for a total loss of about $5.4 million.

On June 6, members of the Prince William County Police Departments’ Special Victim’s Bureau and Intel Unit began a week a long operation targeting offenders of crimes involving children, according to a news release. Sgt. Jonathan Perok, police department spokesman, said the operation "was conducted as a proactive effort and was not in response to any specific incident."

Prince William County Police Department is asking for the public's help in locating a missing, endangered adult, Emerson ALVARENGA-DURAN. ALVARENGA-DURAN was last seen in the area of the Sheetz located at 4021 Prince William Pkwy in Woodbridge on June 12 at 3 a.m., according to police reports.
