On Saturday, Dec. 17 at 10:50 p.m. Manassas Fire & Rescue crews responded to reports of a structure fire in Manassas Park. During a search of the building, one victim was located and rescued from the structure.

Dominion Foundation supports homeless services with donation to NVFS

Between Dec. 9 and Dec. 14, 2016, Manassas City Police received at least two citizen reports of an attempted phone scam involving the alleged abduction of a family member. Officers told that the callers produced the sound of a young woman in distress on the other end of the line.

Va. joins 18 other states in federal lawsuit alleging conspiracy in generic drug costs

Hoping to bring down the cost of generic drugs, Virginia's Attorney General Mark R. Herring on Dec. 16 joined with 18 other state attorneys general in filing a federal lawsuit against six generic drug-makers. The suit alleges that the firms conspired to artificially inflate and manipulate prices and to reduce competition in the market for two drugs in the United States: doxycycline hyclate delayed release, an antibiotic, and glyburide, an oral diabetes medication.
