Shooting Investigation *UPDATE – On June 25, the male suspect involved in the shooting at the Quality Inn located at 1109 Horner Rd in Woodbridge on June 12 died as a result of his injuries.

Dr. Thomas Jefferson Grizzard Jr., 70, retired director of the Occoquan Watershed Monitoring Laboratory, and a volunteer member of the Manassas City Utilities Committee, died on Saturday, June 24, at an area hospital from injuries sustained during a June 21 bicycle accident, according to a Manassas City police report.

Westbound Dale Blvd (Route 784) between the off-ramp to southbound I-95 and the on-ramp from southbound I-95 will be closed Wednesday, June 28, from 10:30 to 11 a.m., to install a traffic signal pole and mast arm.

Strong Armed Robbery – On June 22 at 10:45AM, Prince William County Police Department officers responded to investigate a robbery which occurred in the area of Heathcote Blvd and Carterwood Dr in Gainesville (20155) earlier that evening, according to Officer Nathan Probus, police department spokesman.

On June 24 at 10:42AM, investigators from the Prince William County Police Department's Crash Investigation Unit responded to the area of Prince William Pkwy and Scenic Point Pl in Manassas (20112) to investigate a single vehicle crash involving a motorcycle, according to Officer Nathan Probus, police department spokesman.
