The Prince William County Police reminds motorists to ear your seatbelt every time because seatbelts save lives! That is the underlying message of this year’s “Click It or Ticket” seatbelt enforcement campaign, which runs through Dec. 1, 2024.

The preliminary investigation has revealed the two deceased were located by family members who had received concerning texts indicating the two were having an argument. A three-year-old girl was inside the residence at the time and was unharmed. The child was released to the custody of family members.

Stafford County lifts “boil water” alert on Jan. 13

As of yesterday, Saturday,January 13, 2024, at 11 a.m., the Boil Water Alert in the northeastern part of Stafford County was lifted, after test results from samples taken after water service was restored on January 10, 2024, conclusively showed that the water system has no evidence of contamination.

Be on safe side: Stafford County issues cautious “boil water” alert

Stafford County Utilities has issued a boil water alert for areas in the northern part of the county due to complications from a water main break last night after heavy rainfall. There is no current evidence of contamination of drinking water. However, when pressure levels drop in larger areas of the system, Virginia Department of Health protocols call for additional testing that can take three to five days to complete.
