After consulting with family, staff members, friends and supporters, Prince William County Sheriff Glendell Hill says has decided to seek a fifth term for the Office of the Sheriff which services Manassas and Manassas Park as well as Prince William County.

Northern Virginia Electric Cooperative's group of employee volunteers, NOVEC HELPS, is collecting new toys for children and new gifts for teenagers for Northern Virginia Family Service's Gifting for Families program and US Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots drive. New unwrapped toys and gifts may be dropped off 8:15 a.m.-5 p.m., Monday-Friday, until Friday, Dec. 7, at NOVEC offices in Manassas and Woodbridge.

On Nov. 7 at 10:15PM, officers responded to the area of Lomond Dr and Sudley Rd in Manassas (20109) to investigate a dispute between a taxi cab driver and a male customer. When officers arrived, the customer fled on foot. Officers on foot pursued the man who was eventually detained. The customer was identified as the accused who was wanted in connection to an assault of a PRTC bus driver that occurred in Woodbridge on Sept. 11.
