Crisis Negotiation Team called out to Lake Ridge for domestic with weapons

On Monday, Oct. 19 at 9:40AM, officers responded to a residence located in the 12200 block of Allspice Ct in the Lake Ridge section of Woodbridge (22192) to investigate a domestic with weapons. At approximately 11:13AM, crisis negotiators were able to have the accused exit the residence where he was detained without incident. The accused was not injured. Two firearms were collected from the residence.

Haymarket man, 82, charged with reckless handling of a firearm

After two rounds discharged from a firearm Monday afternoon and entered a neighbor's home in Haymarket, another neighbor, who was "working on" a firearm, was arrested by county police.

In the indecent exposure case, Prince William County Police said the male driver, and only occupant, asked the victim for directions. When the victim approached the vehicle, the man was seen exposing himself. The victim immediately walked away from the vehicle and the man drove off.

Healthy Kids micro grant for Gainesville Middle School

Gainesville Middle School is one of seven public schools in Northern Virginia to receive a Healthy Kids grant from The Community Foundation for Northern Virginia.
