On March 22, the final suspect sought in connection to the shooting that was reported to have occurred in 4700 block of Pearson Dr. in Woodbridge (22193) on Dec. 19, 2019, was arrested. The suspect, Tavon Everett Lee VINES, was located and taken into custody in Camp Springs, MD by members of the U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force.

On Feb. 24, 2021 the suspect sought in connection to the assault that was reported to have occurred at an apartment located in the 1500 block of Tyler Cl in Woodbridge (22191) on Aug. 15, 2016, was arrested. The suspect, Kelly Jasmine ALEGRIA, turned herself in to police without incident, according to Ofc. Wade Dickinson, public information officer.

Update - Shooting Investigation *ARREST – On March 19, the suspect sought in connection to the shooting that was reported to have occurred at the Babylon Café located at 3081 Golansky Blvd. in Woodbridge (22192) on Jan. 23, 2021 was arrested, according to Ofc. Under the auspices of the University School of Medicine, 50+ scientific experts from across the United States, including virologists, infectious disease specialists and medical doctors, are launching a virtual town hall series beginning March 22 (and continuing on on March 24, 25, 26 and 30) to answer the public’s questions about the COVID-19 vaccines. The first town hall begins tonight at 8 p.m. and will run about 45 minutes.

The session is titled, “Heart 2 Heart: The COVID Vaccine and Our Community,” and it is focused on answering questions the black community has about COVID vaccines.
