Nokesville man dies from injuries in Bristow Rd. crash Aug. 28

The police investigation revealed the driver of a 2021 Toyota Tundra was traveling eastbound on Bristow Rd. when the vehicle crossed over the center line and into the westbound lane of travel--striking a 2003 Lexus GX in a head-on collision. The impact of the crash caused the Lexus to spin off of the roadway and come to a rest in the ditch while the Tundra remained on the roadway.

US Sen. Tim Kaine to visit NVCC in Manassas and Quantico Marine Base Child Care Aug. 28

The visits are to celebrate the millions of dollars in federal funding that Sen. Kaine secured to support workforce development, expand health care, and increase child care access. He will also discuss historic legislation he helped pass, including the Inflation Reduction Act, to lower health care and prescription drug costs for millions of Americans.

A customizable “poultry photo op” trivia and photo board in Chesterfield County, just south of Richmond, will educate adults and youth about a variety of poultry topics such as chicken development, hatching and by-products. “The interactive board will draw people in and encourage them to learn more about poultry through additional educational opportunities in our tent,” like seeing live chickens and chicks hatching.
