PW County Police said their investigation revealed that the operator of a 2013 Harley Davidson 883 Sportster motorcycle was traveling southbound on Joplin Rd. with a group of other riders. As the motorcycle approached the above area, the operator failed to negotiate a sharp curve in the roadway and traveled over the double yellow lines before leaving the roadway and striking a tree.

Crews arrived with fire and smoke showing from the front of the home. All occupants had safety evacuated from the home. The fire was discovered by the occupants prior to the smoke detectors activating, Smolsky said.
