Manassas City Police Department is seeking help from the public in identifying a suspect in series of regional armed robberies of five commercial establishments. The incidents took place between October 2, 2014 and December 9, 2014 in Loudoun County, Fairfax City, Manassas Park and Manassas City.

Prince William County Police Department is asking for the public's help in locating a missing, endangered adult. Family members reported to police that Theodore "Scott" Nearing, age 49, was last seen Friday, Jan. 2 around 11:40AM at his residence.

Novant Health is asking the community to keep visitors younger than 18 years old out of all its hospital facilities due to the widespread outbreak of the flu virus throughout the community. This restriction, effective Friday, January 2, 2015 at 8 a.m., applies to all volunteers under the age of 18 as well.

Prince William County School Board will consider two school calendar options at the December 17 meeting. Staff presented a standard calendar option at the Board’s December 3 meeting, similar to past calendars. Now, the School Board has a choice—to open before or after Labor Day in 2015.
