Prince William County Public Schools (PWCS) official enrollment is 88,920 students for the 2016-17 school year. Enrollment grew by 1,667 students, or 1.9 percent from the previous year. The new growth figure eclipses the 1.2 percent increase seen the previous year by more than 600 students.

In an Oct. 14 letter to Department of Elections Commissioner, Edgardo Cortes, Prince William County Delegate Robert G. “Bob” Marshall objected to what he said was "misinformation that was given to volunteers who attended a recent training for election officials for the 2016 elections with regard to verification of voter ID."

Sophomores, juniors and seniors enrolled in public, private and homeschools in Prince William County are eligible to apply for the leadership council now through Oct. 28.
