On Nov. 2, Prince William County Police Department investigators from the Crash Investigation Unit filed charges in connection to the fatal crash which occurred in the area of Minnieville Rd and Cheshire Station Plz in Woodbridge on Oct. 25.

Theatre productions from two Prince William County high schools and three county middle schools recently won awards at the theatre festival. Six students were also individually received awards.

Eleanor Wren Sigrest, and eighth grader at Benton Middle School in Prince William County, VA, won the Broadcom MASTERS, a national middle school STEM competition, and a $25,000 prize for STEM Leadership and Innovation.

On Nov. 2, Prince William County police were able to identify the alleged victim involved in the possible abduction at the Wal-Mart on Worth Ave in Woodbridge which occurred on October 28.

Inova Health System in Falls Church and the University of Virginia in Charlottesville announced today, Nov. 2, that they have agreed to form a comprehensive research and education partnership to include a regional campus of UVa Medical School at Inova, efforts to achieve designation as a Comprehesive Cancer Center and potential commercialization of new discoveries.

Some Prince William County School Board members will head to Williamsburg to participate in the Virginia School Boards Association Annual Convention Nov. 16-18. Seminar topics range from school operations and instructional innovations to legislative issues and community engagement.

Nearly 360 civics students at Beville Middle School will get a sense of our democracy when they head to “voting booths” in their Dale City area school Nov. 3. Students will vote using paper ballots which will resemble the actual Virginia ballot.
