On September 1, detectives from the Homicide Unit obtained an arrest warrant for a suspect sought in connection to the murder of Miguel Angel RUIZ CARRILLO. The victim’s body was discovered in the area of Nokesville Rd and Fauquier Dr in Nokesville on August 22 after he was initially reported missing to Fairfax County Police earlier that month.

Haymarket's Park Valley Church's Disaster Relief Team (PVC DRT) will be deploying to flood ravaged Houston to bring supplies, help, and Jesus to a community in need, according to a news release, and local donations of supplies are needed. On September 8th, a team of approximately eight volunteers will be driving two moving trucks full of supplies 23+ hours to Houston, Texas.
