Through a competitive bid process, a private-sector team, Express Mobility Partners (Cintra /Meridiam/Ferrovial/Allan Myers), has been selected to implement the planned project, upgrading 25 miles of I-66 between U.S. 15/Haymarket and I-495. The partners will pay the $2.3 billion costs of construction, with an eye to recouping its investment and making a profit in the future.

Existing steel business in Virginia to create 38 new jobs in Botetourt County

Canatal Steel USA, a subsidiary of Canada-based Canatal Industries and a producer of steel structure fabrication, will invest $1.5 million to expand its manufacturing operation in Botetourt County. The expansion project will create 38 new jobs, according to a news release.

Bill Francisco of Francisco Farms, Staunton, will present a 12 ft. Canaan fir Christmas tree to decorate the first floor of the Virginia Governor's Mansion in Richmond. He won the right to donate the tree at this year’s annual meeting of the Virginia Christmas Tree Growers Association.
